I saw the previews for AOTC and it was obvious that the idiot they got to play Anakin has ZERO acting talent. Hamill looks like Brando compared to him. It looks like AOTC is going to be a 2-hour root canal. So who the fuck cares if some boy band is stuck in the background??? They could troop out Rod Stewart, Three Dog Night, Barbara Feldon & the corpse of Liberace throughout the movie and it wouldn't make it any worse than it is already.

I was in a local eating establishment tonight, and a few people were discussing old pop culture stars of the 70's. Well, I don't really know what they were discussing, but I overheard the following exchange which amused me greatly:

He: "What was that one guy... you know..."

She: "Who?"

He: "Oh, I remember... Mark Hamill."

She: "No, it wasn't Mark Hamill. Mark Hamill was the figure skater."

He: "Oh yeah."

Apparently they'd skipped out on the Star Wars series, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, AND Corvette Summer. Imagine that.

Dorothy Hamill must really feel like shit, eh?

Sounds like a great new project: eat at a Lacey establishment once a week, write down the crazy/weird/lame stuff overheard, and gather them together for an avant-garde spoken word presentation. You could call it "Lacey Shrugged."
