Former wrestler arrested for prostitution ring
SMYRNA, Ga. - Former professional wrestler Harrison "Hardbody" Norris has been arrested on charges he bailed women out of jail and then forced them into prostitution.
The wrestler, whose real name is Norris Harrison Jr., was with World Championship Wrestling from 1994 to 1999. He was arrested Wednesday on three charges of false imprisonment.
Harrison, 38, of Cartersville, befriended women by getting them out of jail and giving them a place to stay, said Smyrna police spokesman Clark Pino. Then he forced them into prostitution to repay the debt, Pino said.
Police made the arrest after three women said Harrison had been holding them against their will for 11 days to three months, Pino said. Three other women living with Harrison did not file complaints and weren't charged, and another woman was arrested on a probation violation.
"Once he gained their confidence, he would then take personal items from them and force them to prostitute for him until they paid off their debt," Pino said.
