In a coup that can only be accounted for as an act of God, the Vice President of the Iraqi-killing USA and his lovely wife Lynne have granted the fine folks at your favorite website (Satanosphere) a sit-down, fire-side interview.
And, as always, you get to ask the fucking questions.
Good God, publicists are easy to fool.

As the United States edges closer to war with Iraq, North Korea, France and Mississippi, we here at Satanosphere think it's about time to fully address the topic of war with, well, the topic of War.
Starting today and lasting till Monday the 10th, you can get your war on with our new contest: design the topic icon for War. Be creative as possible. Use whatever images you want. Photoshop, MS Paint, or scan your nutsack for all we care. All entries will be judged by the Satanosphere editorial staff.
Images should be 80x50 pixels in size (width x height) and should be emailed with your username and as a .gif or .jpg to submissions@satanosphere.com. Email the file as an attachment or link, either way is fine.
Also, feel free to comment on this story with any other new topic ideas that you feel we should add. And no, we won't be adding a Michael Jackson topic soon.

Yo, check it. As Satanosphere becomes home-base for news for more and more misguided people, we must strive to deliver more fresh and unique content daily. There are always plenty of new stories, but that just doesn't always do it for those seeking hard-impact super-frequent updates. Thats why we've added a couple new features to Satanosphere this week. They're pretty user-friendly and fun, we think you'll like them. [editor's note, by matt] Also, we apologize if for the last couple days that some of you haven't been able to get through to the site at times. We're transferring nameservers, and it's a bit hectic as our old hosts were being shits. But all seems well now.
[editor's note, by Captain Tenille] Our old registrars were being fucks, not our old DNS hosts. Just clarifying.

New features have come into Scoop, the software that runs this site. Much of it is behind the scenes stuff that won't really impact any of your experiences here, but there are three things that we're thinking about rolling out soon: Extended Hotlist, Story Archiving, and Themes.
Also, there's an important poll for everyone to vote on. Please do, and make your voice heard on how the site will be run.
Update [2003-1-28 10:14:47 by Captain Tenille]: We are now archiving stories older than 3 months. Never fear, we can still edit them, and the next step is to set it up so we can unarchive them. More updates as they come. Tell us how it's working for you now.

Every few months we here at Satanosphere Central ask for your feedback about the site. An always evolving community, the site has seen many changes since it's inception a year-and-a-half ago. But there's always room for improvement. We're cleaning up and re-arranging.
This is your chance to give us input about what you like (and don't like) about how Satanosphere works. From usability issues, features you'd like to see, or topics and other stuff you'd like added, this is your forum. Use the comments below this story to tell us what you, the Satanosphere user, would like to see.
Of course, you must have an account in order to post comments to this or any other story here on the Sphere, so for those of you without one, now's a perfect time to go create one for yourself. It's quick, easy, and unlocks many of the features that make this one of the fastest growing community sites on the Web. Don't forget the read the FAQ as well, if you're a new comer. It'll explain a lot.

Who *Are* You, Anyway?

We haven't had a "Who Are You" article on Satanosphere for about a year now. Since that time, we've had lots and lots of new users sign on. Thus, we invite everyone to share something about themselves for their fellow users to see. So, whether you've been here from the beginning, or you just signed up yesterday, let us know what's up! We're just dying to know.
Satanosphere Roll-call!

Ok. Something is rotten in the land of Denmark. Or at least the Internet. For some reason our Name Servers (the machines on the Internet that tell your computer how to find Satanosphere and that fucked up porn you like) don't think we exist anymore. But it appears to be uneven, not all of them agree. So, what that means for our much loved users is that some of you can Satanosphere and some of you can't Satanosphere. We're working with the appropriate Internet authorities to get the situation cleared up as soon as possible, and hopefully it's a hiccup that will be over shortly.
Update [2002-9-17 11:32:21 by Captain Tenille]: Well, our registrars thought our domain had expired. It hadn't, so we got control of the domain back. Rest assured that we will be taking steps to prevent this from happening again.

9/11 One Year Later, Satanosphere Style
|

It would be easy to mark this first anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by doing the typical things a public media outlet does. It would be easy to take down the site for a day, a sort of 21st Century moment of silence. It would be easy to recap the events that happened that fateful fall morning. It would be easy to update you on where exactly we stand now, one year later.
But instead we've decided that this should be a place to share your stories. We all read the papers, see the news, and hear the radio, and we all know where we stand as a people, but what about as a person?
This is your space to tell your stories. Where were you when the terrorists struck? What stands out in your memory of the day? Where are you now? Use the comments to share and feedback on each others take on what they went through on one of the darkest days in American history.
