Senator James Jeffords of Vermont has left the Republican Party to become an Independent who will vote with the Democrats on leadership issues.

You know what this means, right?

The Democrats control the Senate now!!! YES!

Hopefully, once the dust has settled and power has been transferred, the Senate will be able to act as a force against G. W. Bush's policies (gives Nader voters an evil stare... I feel better now.
