All Matthew Patton wanted to do was teach his high school biology students about the digestive eating habits of reptiles, using the pet boa constrictor he kept in class as an example. No big deal. His students had seen him feed things to the boa before.
However, when Patton announced he was going to feed Snaky three unwanted puppies from the local shelter, well, a few people were a bit nonplussed about it.

| Sounds like a perfect setup for a Jay Leno monologue joke. But he's been having problems with other jokes based on dogs being consumed as food. Not that he didn't have reason for the joke. I mean, we ain't exactly talking about your hygenically safe food court either. (Warning: That last link includes links to photographs, some of which I'm sure are disturbing, but I didn't want to take the chance of looking at 'em.) |
