Behold, Chuck Swaim & the Dead Air Fresheners Fall NW Cafe Tour 2002
It all starts at Le Voyeur on Friday August 23rd. I know, I swore I'd never play the place again, but Mac Dawg asked really nicely and agreed to do a cameo in our set, so it's all chill bro'. We're opening for two Portland electronic groups: Point Line Plane and Nice Nice who used to be from Oly. In fact my former roommate Jason from the Eld Inlet days is in that group, so it should be really fun. It's free with donations for the touring bands gladly accepted.
Then we're playing on KAOS 89.3 FM on Jenny Jenkins's radio show Oooo Thursday, September 5th at 9 PM (engineered by Satanosphere's own Mayoknave, I might add.) This show will be streaming live, so you can listen on the Net from anywhere in the world!
We're driving up to Snohomish, Wa on that Saturday, September 7th for yet another streaming audio gig, this time on Internet Radio Station KMLP again at 9 PM Pacific Time. Unlike KAOS, they told us it was cool to bring booze for that one.
Then it's off to Seattle on Tuesday, September 10th for an 8 PM gig at the Coffee Messiah as part of the really cool All Ages experimental series called Cognitive Dissidents. We're playing with some sort of avante garde banjo duo. Neat.
We get a few days rest (except for that work your dayjob the whole time thing...) then we rock Charlie's Another free show for all you cheap ass Olyites.
That Saturday, September 16th at punk rock-o-clock PM we get to play the incredible Java Jive in Tacoma. What's more, Vern from Unwound, and John from Bunny Foot Charm's new band Oslo will be opening for us. I think the cover is $3.
A week later, Saturday September 28th at 9 PM at the Matrix Coffeehouse in beautiful Chehalis. This one's All Ages (there's a nifty tavern next door though) and $5. We're playing with this Seattle group called Terran Spiral who are certain to become Matt Hickey's new favorite band.
The tour ends Friday, October 4th at 9 PM with yet another place with coffee in the name (ironic because I can't even drink the stuff without getting the runs...) up in Seattle again at The Industrial Cafe in gorgeous Georgetown. I mean that, it's my favorite neighborhood in Seattle with all the factories and freeway and shit. This is a bar show despite the name, and we don't know yet who we're opening for. Probably some aggro crusty punks or something.
