Went up for the 3rd time since my big comedy vacation. I survived layoff day

After round two, I am basically layoff proof. I was a developer when I showed up, but now I'm the sole dba. They can fire me, but getting rid of my position is out of the question. Running my mouth about how I could do a better job than the existing dba team appears to have paid off. Keep this in mind next time you're tempted to talk shit about your coworkers.
